Sadly, a lot of those perennials cook in my summer heat. Hot, hussy colors do better here in zone 7b, but I still love the pinks and blues that do survive. I laugh a little at plant snobs. They are entitled to their opinion, but gardening is for the soul, and that can't come from a formula or rule book.debsgardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15656883577922890561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2644837848136749892.post-86840117501121890852011-08-04T17:10:21.399-07:002011-08-04T17:10:21.399-07:00The overlap of your blooms is really interesting. ...The overlap of your blooms is really interesting. In my zone we have many finished before others taking off, and now, everyone is scorched. As Cameron said, we are toasted. I read your side bar information to my husband.... your long, snowy winter and short summer. We're toasting in 100 degrees day-after-day now. It wasn't like this until a few years ago. Our summers used to be nice and rain came on a regular basis. We thought we'd never want to move, but now, we're looking at other places with more interest!F Cameronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14558874651743241988noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2644837848136749892.post-85496533156050419342011-08-04T05:11:18.156-07:002011-08-04T05:11:18.156-07:00Wow so pretty flowers... i love all of them...Wow so pretty flowers... i love all of them...FUJIFILM Digital Camera Indiahttp://digitalcameraindia.co.in/digital-cameras/fujifilm-digital-camera.htmlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2644837848136749892.post-59315587279272574032011-08-04T05:02:09.131-07:002011-08-04T05:02:09.131-07:00if you want a romantic garden, then that's the...if you want a romantic garden, then that's the colour scheme. I also pay no attention to those that think something is overdone because it's out there a lot. It's out there lot because it's good. :) You have lovely things going on right now.
Cher Sunray GardensSunray Gardenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06691531921190526219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2644837848136749892.post-52790570095725496142011-08-03T14:02:04.562-07:002011-08-03T14:02:04.562-07:00I agree that pink and blues are a classic, and pro...I agree that pink and blues are a classic, and probably the most beautiful of all combinations. Go with whatever you like, after all it's your garden.

I personally do whatever I like, and since I'm a 'cottage' garden type, that generally means a bit of everything and anything. Although saying that, with experience I am now planning more, however I am yet to get to grips with transplanting things so plants that were planted in haste remain in less favourable conditions/spots.Lizhttp://gwirrel.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
